Mickey Lagasse, Executive Director for CCA of Mississippi, is pleased to announce that it has entered into a partnership agreement with Rio Ray Optics, an Ocean Springs, Mississippi-based manufacturer of premium sunglasses.
Rio Ray manufactures sunglasses in a variety of designs including classic, aviator, and sport/wrap styles for both men and women. They use only the finest materials including RFlex+ frames with stainless steel hinges, R2 premium polarized lenses with backside anti-reflective coating included, and the ability to add prescription lenses to any frame.
Rio Ray is based in beautiful Ocean Springs along Mississippi’s Gulf Coast and shares the same mission as the CCA as it relates to conserving and promoting the availability of marine resources along the coast for present and future generations.
“We are excited about this partnership with the CCA and look forward to working with you to promote a mission that is of mutual interest while at the same time increasing awareness of our premium sunglass brand,” said Tony Jones, CEO of Rio Ray.
As part of the agreement, Rio Ray has provided CCA of MS members with a customized coupon code (CCAMS25) that provides members with a 25% discount on all Rio Ray sunglasses and merchandise available on the Rio Ray website (riorayoptics.com) with 5% of each sale going back to the CCA of MS.
Check them out! They’re amazing sunglasses!

Return 'Em Right
RETURN 'EM RIGHT IS OFF AND RUNNING. CCA MISSISSIPPI FULLY SUPPORTS THIS PROGRAM.
Return 'Em Right has been in development for some time and is a program to SAVE FISH. Most offshore or even inshore anglers have had the experience of releasing a fish (for whatever reason) and seeing it float off belly-up or be attacked by an unwelcome predator lurking nearby. Research has clearly shown that the simple method of air release from the fish is not working at depths. Now you can join a program devised to address this problem and get FREE GEAR to do so in the process.
CCA Mississippi will release further information on RETURN 'EM RIGHT as we move forward but for now, go to the website https://returnemright.org/ and follow the steps to meet the training and then be sent your gear.
With Red Snapper season just about on us, we need to conserve our reef fish resources and this is a great start.
